B.S. Engineering Co Pte Ltd (“BSE”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting personal data in accordance with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (the “PDPA”). This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, protect, and retain the personal data of our customers, suppliers, employees, job applicants, and website visitors.

Depending on your dealings with us: name, job title, employer, email, telephone, business or mailing address; enquiry, quotation, and service records; and, for job applicants, CV and employment details. From our website: information you submit through forms, and limited technical data. We do not collect NRIC or FIN numbers. On occasion we collect payment details from individuals — mainly to process refunds; these are handled with additional care and kept only as long as needed. We collect only what is reasonably necessary.

Directly from you (enquiries, quotations, service engagements, website forms, phone or email); from your organisation during an engagement; and automatically via our website.

• To respond to enquiries and provide quotations.

• To deliver and support our engineering and fire-protection services.

• To manage accounts, billing, refunds, and records.

• To communicate with you about your engagement.

• To assess job applicants.

• To meet legal, safety, and regulatory obligations.

By providing personal data you consent to its use for these purposes. We also rely on the PDPA’s permitted purposes and exceptions where they apply. You may withdraw consent at any time via our Data Protection Officer; we will explain any consequences and may retain data where the law requires.

Where we send marketing communications, we do so only with your consent, every message carries an unsubscribe option, and we check the Singapore Do-Not-Call (DNC) Registry before sending marketing messages to Singapore telephone numbers. You can opt out of marketing at any time.

We may disclose personal data to trusted parties who support our operations — for example IT and cloud providers, sub-contractors, auditors and professional advisers — only where necessary and under obligations of confidentiality and data protection. We do not sell personal data. We may also disclose where required by law or by a competent authority.

Some of our service providers (for example cloud services such as Google Workspace) may store or process personal data on servers outside Singapore. Where personal data is transferred abroad, we take steps to ensure it receives a standard of protection comparable to that under the PDPA.

We make reasonable security arrangements to protect personal data against unauthorised access, use, disclosure, or loss, including access controls and password protection, secure sign-ins, multi-factor authentication on key accounts where available, need-to-know access, and regular backups.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure personal data is accurate and complete where it is likely to be used to make a decision affecting you, or disclosed to another organisation.

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes above or to meet legal and business requirements — generally up to six years — after which it is securely disposed of or anonymised.

We maintain processes to identify, assess, and respond to data breaches affecting personal data, and will notify the Personal Data Protection Commission and affected individuals where required under the PDPA.

You may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask how it has been used or disclosed in the past year, and request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data. We handle such requests (including Data Subject Access Requests) in accordance with the PDPA, normally within 30 days. Please contact the DPO.
